This was the first year I had ever gone to PAX, and boy was it worth the $45. Day 1 started with me meeting Ken Le-fucking-vine, and by meeting him I mean I stared at him awkwardly as he sat no more than 10 feet away from me. I was too big of a bitch to go up and ask him for an autograph and a picture and shower him with undulations of praise and awe, but I saw the man, the myth, the legend. KEN LE-FUCKING-VINE!
Also games and shit. I got to play Dead Space and I waited in line to play Left 4 Dead, but most of my time was spent perusing the show floor, greedily stealing whatever looked the least bit free from each of the boothes. All in all, I netted 8 shirts, awesome posters, 2 Magic decks and 9 booster packs, a 360 faceplate and I got to see Sai steal a backpack. Badass.
Davis cosplayed as Link, also badass, Ben won the SC tourney and nothing else happened that David hasn't talked about. In summation, PAX was awesome, 8 shirts for 45 bucks, I kinda stalked Ken Levine, Ben is my new god and I will definitely go again next year.
Also, finished Watchmen today, and pants are indeed still wet.
Damn, you should have gotten a bioshock poster somehow and gotten ken levine to sign it. that shit would increase the pwnage of your room (which i have never seen) to legendary levels.
ReplyDeleteYes, well, maybe if someone hadn't already rushed off to college, he might have been able to suggest it at the time instead of a week after the fact so that I wouldn't be kinda pissed off about how I should have done EXACTLY that.
